Yesterday (24 October), Australian chart-topping country artist Travis Collins announced that he’d be taking a break for the next six weeks as his family prepares to welcome a baby boy. He also revealed new tour dates, “including some big nights in QLD”.
“Taking a break for the next six weeks to welcome (soon) our baby boy.. but we'll be back out in Dec, swingin' for the fences - Including some big nights in QLD,” Collins wrote. You can find all the tour dates below – tickets are on sale now via his website.
In April, Collins will headline the massive Stock Route Music Festival alongside Canadian country singer Dan Davidson. The announcement was made last week.
“There's something magical about playing a festival in the NSW Central West, and I'm really looking forward to sharing my music with the passionate country music community out there,” he said in a statement.
In other recent Travis Collins news, the singer teamed up with US outfit Home Free and Australia’s Amy Sheppard to cover the Daryl Braithwaite classic, The Horses (originally by Rickie Lee Jones), and last month, was one of many in the Australian country music community to rally around musician Jake Davey as he fights a “debilitating” health condition.
Davey has lived with Spinal Stenosis – which affects his ability to walk and brings lower back pain and sciatica to his day-to-day life – for the last two years. However, Davey faced his condition in August as it went “critical”.

Davey’s Spinal Stenosis has since seen the artist develop another debilitating condition called Cauda Equina.
“He's one the most talented and positive people you'd ever meet.. Singer, songwriter, photographer, videographer, recording studio whizz to mention just a few.. but best of all, he's just a great young bloke all-round, and always helping others,” Collins wrote in support of Davey.
“Life dealt him a pretty shitty curve ball recently, and whilst he'd never ask, he could use a hand from good people - and I reckon I know a few.”
