We like to support worthwhile charitable causes here at Countrytown and knowing that Tom Wolfe from The Wolfe Brothers is taking part in Dry July was something we wanted to get behind.

Dry July is a yearly fundraiser that encourages people to go alcohol-free in July to raise funds for people affected by cancer.

According to the official website, “the funds [raised] as part of your Dry July will provide invaluable services for cancer patients, their families and carers – whether it’s a lift to a life-saving appointment, guidance from a specialist nurse, connection to an informative voice, access to therapy programs or a bed close to treatment.”

Already three weeks in, Wolfe is close to doubling his $1000 minimum target. Both he and brother Nick, lead singer of the award-winning Tasmanian duo, participated in Dry July back in 2018, where they raised over $3000.
