More Brad Paisley More Brad Paisley

Brad Paisley has released his latest single called Off Road as a tribute to the great women of country music who have carved their own lane. Paisley says, “It’s really about female empowerment and the way that women will bust through road blocks. You can’t keep a country girl down, she is just going to go off the beaten path and do the thing she needs to do to change this world. It’s about trailblazers, and I hope people relate to it.”

To celebrate the release Off Road, we’re trawled through his 12 studio albums - starting all the way back from his 1999 debut, Who Needs Pictures to his latest Love And War – to find our five favourite Brad bangers! And although Off Road doesn’t make this list, it affirms that the multi-award winner doesn’t have a bad song in him!

5 - Remind Me ft. Carrie Underwood

Remind Me was the certified x2 platinum third single from Paisley’s album This Is Country Music. The music video took home wins for ‘Collaborate Video of the Year’ at the ACA and CMT Music Awards. We love it in contrast for Underwood's powerhouse vocals range and its lyrical sentiments about a married couple seeking to rekindle the flame of their relationship.

4 - Online

Online was the second single from the album 5th Gear. Although this song sparked some controversy for its lyrical satirise about the online world, Online became Paisley’s ninth number one single on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. The CMA award-winning music video features Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander as the song’s protagonist geek who lives at home with his parents and works at a local pizza place, and features cameos from William Shatner, Patrick Warburton, Kellie Pickler and Taylor Swift amongst others.

3 - Shattered Glass

Shattered Glass is probably the most unconventional song on this list – but it’s one of our favourites for its inspirational lyrical content about hope, motivation and girl power. The music video was first shared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show before the release of his 2014 album, Moonshine in the Truck. Shattered Glass is dedicated to the little girls of the world, insisting that they can do anything to which they set their minds. I suppose, in a way you can look at it as the little sister of Off Road.

2 - Start a Band ft. Keith Urban

Granted we’re a little biased as Start A Band is a duet with our very own Keith Urban, but where the song really shines is the guitar playing from the two superstars that many guitarists often aspire to. Start A Band is an up-tempo number about pursuing music interests over more academical ventures. The song reached number one on the US Hot Country Charts, becoming Paisley’s thirteenth and Urban’s ninth, and was nominated for a Grammy Award for ‘Best Country Collaboration With Vocals’.

1 - Whiskey Lullaby ft. Alison Krauss

Whiskey Lullaby is a lot of people’s first introduction into Paisley’s music, no matter what year they first become a fan, and arguably, his most well-known song. Frankly, it's iconic and deserves its number one ranking on this list. Whiskey Lullaby was the third single from the album Mud On The Tires. It peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot Country charts, becoming certified 2x platinum, and won the CMA ‘Song of the Year’ award.
