"See you next year," the Strummingbird team teased following the conclusion of this year's festival dates.

Strummingbird just wrapped up this year’s edition, but already, festival organisers are setting their sights on the next one.

In an email to the media, the Strummingbird team reflected on the success and performances of this year’s events, which travelled to Ballarat, Newcastle, and the Sunshine Coast.

After sharing some of the highlights of this year’s festival, including Bailey Zimmerman and Stella Lefty live-debuting their unreleased collab My Kinda Love, Cooper Alan covering Kylie Minogue, Dexter & The Moonrocks showcasing their brand of Western space grunge, James Johnston needing a bigger tent, and a Sunshine Coast-exclusive performance from headline act Tyler Childers, the festival team left us with this message, confirming their 2027 return:

I’m all yours and you’re all mine Strummingbird…. See you next year!

They signed off by asking us to follow Strummingbird on social media for “all the highlights and 2027 festival updates.”

Post Malone, this year’s previously booked headliner, departed the line-up ahead of the festival going ahead over the past two weekends. However, the Strummingbird team, ever savvy, locked in appearances by two beloved international acts, Tyler Childers and Sam Barber, and Australian country sensation James Johnston.

Additionally, Bailey Zimmerman stayed on board as the second-billed artist, sharing the stage with fellow international acts like Cooper Alan, Stella Lefty, Kaitlin Butts, Noah Rinker, and Dexter & The Moonrocks.

Strummingbird has taken place in October over the last two years – the festival made its debut last year – so, same time next year?

Strummingbird held its first event last year, with Jelly Roll and Shaboozey headlining its inaugural run of dates. It announced its return earlier this year, keeping its Newcastle and Sunshine Coast shows but swapping its Perth trip for a new date in Ballarat.
