Shannon Noll will perform at tonight’s NRL State Of Origin match, with the Maroons and the Blues going head-to-head at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium.
“Can’t wait to rock it with KFC at the NRL State Of Origin tomorrow night,” Noll wrote on social media last night (20 June). “Get excited for a bit of ‘Fried Night Footy’ as well as some of your other favourites”.
What will he play tonight? Lift, What About Me and Drive, or a surprise track? Will one of his new songs, When I Believe It, I Can Fly, feature on the set? Noll is also sporting the bod of a rugby player – imagine watching him play a game of NRL.
Earlier this year, Noll, an Australian Idol runner-up to country music sensation, started his own podcast. “Guys... I've started a Podcast!” he said on social media. “Each week I'll be chatting with friends of mine in the entertainment industry, and we'll even be reviewing some upcoming episodes of Australian Idol for a bit of fun!
“My first guest is Ian "DICKO" Dickson. We had a great chat, and you can have a listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart Radio and more right now.” You can listen to Idol Talking With Nollsie below.
Since Australian Idol, Noll has gone on to receive consistent acclaim with seven top 10 albums, including two multi-platinum #1 ARIA albums, 17 platinum and three gold accreditations. He boasts a reputation as the only Australian male artist in national chart history to have ever achieved ten consecutive top-ten singles. His single What About Me was certified 4× platinum and was the highest-selling single in Australia in 2004.
