Shannon Noll Leads 2026 Edition Of Latrell Mitchell's Taree Country Festival

After a successful first edition last year, NRL superstar and proud Biripi, Wiradjuri, Worimi and Gumbaynggirr man Latrell Mitchell is bringing his Taree Country Festival back for a second go.

Country rocker Shannon Noll has been announced as the headliner for this year’s event, taking place on Saturday, 21 November, at the Taree Showgrounds in NSW. More acts will be announced soon.

The event is presented by Winmarra Foundation – co-founded by Latrell Mitchell – and J&J Rodeo. It’s an all-ages festival, which combines live music, professional rodeo action, and classic country entertainment: what makes regional Australia great.

A portion of funds raised will support the Winmarra Foundation’s work in empowering First Nations youth and rural communities through mentorship, education, and cultural celebration.

“Taree Country Festival is all about bringing everyone together for a massive day of music, rodeo and country pride,” Mitchell explained. He continued, “There’s something for everyone, whether you’re coming for the rodeo, the music, the food or just to have a good day with the family.

“We’ve got Shannon Noll joining us this year, which is going to be unreal, alongside some of the best rodeo action and entertainment. I can’t wait to get back up there, see everyone and have a proper country day out together. Bring your families, bring your mates and we’ll see you in Taree.”

When he announced the debut of Taree Country Festival last year, Mitchell explained that the event became his way of giving back and supporting a town that has weathered its fair share of hardship by offering a moment to come together in joy, music, and culture.

“I know this year hasn’t gone to plan with floods and devastation – I’ve seen it first-hand as I’ve been up at the farm, sussing out a few things there and what we’ve been able to salvage. I can only imagine what everyone else has gone through and what they’re trying to rebuild now and get back on their feet,” Mitchell said.
