Amends ProfileWestern Sydney's Amends are gearing up for the release of their new album, Tales of Love, Loss and Outlaws on April 23rd, and are doing a fantastic job of keeping fans extremely keen. Not only have they already released one stellar tune in the form of This One, For Example, Is About Grief, they've now released a new single and have teamed up with a living legend for the occasion.
Tapping Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace, the scene icon delivers added grit and passion to the soaring, jangling country-flecked rock song. It's a slice of classic Australian storytelling but with added punk flair, making for a punchy affair and a song worthy of such a special guest.
Lead singer Luke McDonald said, "We met Laura on a 2018 tour of Australia, and struck up quite the friendship.
"We had a list of people we might want to do guesties on this record, and we honestly thought Laura and Sarah [Balliet] were a long shot – but hey, here we are."
"All of Laura’s projects (especially Against Me!) have been really big influences on this album, as well as our band’s writing in general. To have Laura be willing to be a part of it is truly so special, and a real band highlight for us all."
