Morgan Wallen’s Son Injured In Dog Attack

Morgan Wallen’s 2-year-son was taken to hospital Sunday after suffering from a dog bite on his face.

Indigo, Wallen’s son whom he shares with ex-fiancée KT Smith, sustained injuries and received stitches. She posted the news on her social media recounting the event which took place earlier this week.

"Yesterday, he bit Indigo in the face and [Indigo] had to have stitches, and we spent yesterday morning at the emergency room," Smith said.

The social media influencer noted she had adopted the dog, a Great Pyrenees named Legend, over a year ago. After Indigo was injured, several fans suggested she should euthanise the dog.

“Since then, we have been looking for options. I just couldn’t bring myself to do what everyone else says, and what you’re supposed to do, apparently… what the world tells you to do is to put the dog down,” Smith said, referring to euthanasia.

Smith asked her followers for their help, as she wanted to avoid sending Legend to a shelter. She asked if anyone in the Nashville area was able to give the dog a home immediately.

"Shelters are full so I figured that I could ask you guys if you know anywhere, he doesn't deserve a shelter because he came from trauma after being left on the side of the road for months. He doesn't walk on hard wood floors and won't walk on a leash, so he needs a backyard. Other than that, he's not aggressive and is great with other dogs. He just doesn't need to be around small kids who might mess with his food or crawl on him. He just wants love and to be a pet.

"He's probably around two-ish now. He's an angel and I feel like he can read human emotions, he's a great guard dog and will sleep out of my bedroom door at night. I know I could've kept him with a muzzle on around the house, but he doesn't deserve that. And I can't be a mum that keeps a dog in the house when my child is also traumatised. I can't be a good dog mum to him keeping a muzzle or a good mum in general with a kid really scared in the home."

A few hours later, she provided fans with an update and was able to give Legend to a loving family. 

"We just dropped Legend off with the sweetest family where he will be living out his full potential and best life on a farm," Smith shared. "I couldn’t have asked for a better family for him to be loved on by, and they’re East Tennesseans so we can visit any time we need to."

Smith additionally shared negative comments she received after her emotional plea on social media.

Sharing a screenshot of a message that read, "OK no you care more about the f---ing dog than your kid? What’s wrong with you," Smith called the comment ignorant and noted that she planned to block any sort of similar negative comments.

"To be a mum is to care about your child first and find the dog a home away from your kid before they come back into the home," she said in part. "To be a dog mum is to find the best possible home for the dog knowing that they can thrive in an environment that is meant for them without children."

She was also sure to let her followers know that Indigo will be okay, and he will have minimal scarring from the injury. Wallen is yet to publicly comment on the incident.
