Morgan EvansNQβs Rockβn Country Music Festival is returning to Mackay this August, and organisers have just dropped the second part of its sprawling line up.
Topping the bill is Morgan Evans, who just last month released his striking new EP Life Upside Down. Heβs joined by two Canadian artists, Gord Bamford and Dan Davidson β the former will appear in support of his second album, Fire It Up (which also landed in April), while the latter will come armed with gems his 2022 EP 6 Songs To Midnight.
Rounding out the latest batch of artists are a septet of Australian favourites: Jayne Denham, Ben Ransom, Brittany Elise, Kimberly Bowden, Ella & Sienna, Sons Of Atticus and Tameka.

With this latest announcement, this yearβs Rockβn Country line up sports a total of 20 acts. The first announcement was shared back in February, and featured heavyweight names like Troy Cassar-Daley, Kasey Chambers, Shannon Noll, The Wolfe Brothers, Kaylee Bell and Adam Brand. Also appearing will be Southbound xo, Andrew Swift, Catherine Britt and Christie Lamb, with even more artists set to be announced in the coming months.
When the first announcement arrived, Australian country icon Graeme Connors said of its strength: βThis is the basis, the cement footings for a fantastic festival in Mackay. It is up there with any of them, if not surpassing.β
This yearβs edition of NQβs Rockβn Country Music Festival will take place at the Mackay Showgrounds over the weekend of August 18-20. Tickets are on sale now and available here. In addition to being family-friendly and welcome to campers, the festival is being held for a good cause β ticket sales will be used to raise money for the Variety Childrenβs Charity, which βhelp[s] kids living with disability and illness or experiencing disadvantageβ.
