Category 10’s opening was first announced last month, teasing food, signature cocktails, dance performances and live music starting from as early as 11 AM on opening day, with Combs promising on social media that “whatever you want, we’re gonna have it”.
"It's gonna be an awesome honky-tonk. Downtown Nashville. Food. Spirits. You know, you name it,” he said. “It's gonna be so much fun, I can't wait for this thing to open. I can't wait to see you guys there."
Now that the wait is over, here’s everything you need to know about the bar’s features. Category 10 contains five unique entertainment experiences that are guaranteed to scratch the itch of every Combs fan far and wide, eager to experience the bar first-hand.
First off, The Honky-Tonk is a two-story section complete with two bars, a retail shop and a main stage hosting only the best live music. The Hurricane Hall is the epicentre of the entire venue, clad with the largest dance floor and stage in all of downtown Nashville. It features an immersive light and sound experience, encouraging top-tier line dancing. The hall can also host ticketed concert events that fit up to 1,500 people, and where you’ll find bars inspired by Combs’ songs Beer Never Broke My Heart and Neon Dream. The Still, also inspired by Combs’ music, is an elevated lounge bar hosting a wide collection of bourbon, hand-picked by the artist. The space is carefully designed for Combs’ Bootleggers Fan Club, bourbon fanatics, songwriters, and lovers of music.
The 5 Leaf Clover Sports Bar, located on the third floor of the building, is a sports bar with a comfortable mix of table and lounge seating. This section is a second home for all sports fans, who can indulge in massive screens that showcase a wide selection of major sports events playing all year round. The bar also features a real-time sports ticker which is displayed around the room. Finally, The Eye, which will make its debut in 2025, is expected to possess the largest outdoor deck in the Broadway vicinity with a 7,000-square-foot rooftop and one-of-one views of surrounding sites including the Cumberland River and Nissan Stadium.
Category 10 is currently open on 120 2nd Ave N in Nashville, Tennessee – make sure to put this one on your bucket list.
