Lane Pittman has revealed he underwent surgery last night, just one week out from the launch of the Fresh Country Tour in Brisbane. In a video shared to Instagram, the rising star appeared in hospital, in good spirits and assuring fans everything was under control.

While the exact reason for the surgery hasn’t been disclosed, Pittman’s message was clear: he’s doing well and already counting down the days to hit the stage. “Thank you all for the kind messages on here!! Feeling much better and will be out today and ready to rock in Brissy next week!”

The update came shortly after his original post, which showed him pre-op in a hospital bed, still managing to crack jokes. True to form, Pittman kept things light-hearted, by posing the question “Will my tour sell out by the time I wake up and check my phone” and then digging into a well deserved Macca’s Quarter Pounder post surgery, proving that even in a gown and hooked up to monitors, he doesn’t miss a beat.

Support quickly poured in from the country music community, with fellow artists and fans flooding the comments with well-wishes and encouragement. Wade Forster commented “Rest up homie. Everyone buy this man’s tickets”, “oh my god haha i really hope you’re ok!!!” said Max Jackson and Michael Honan added “Best of luck mate, speedy recovery”.

With his signature grit and good humour, it’s no surprise Lane’s already rallying and looking forward to showtime.

The Fresh Country Tour, which kicks off Friday, July 18 in Brisbane, also features Max Jackson, Dylan Wright and The Wet Whistles, and promises a stacked set of feel-good country, storytelling, and crowd sing-alongs. Despite the unexpected surgery, Pittman has confirmed he’ll be there, ready to bring the energy.

From all of us here, Lane - we’re sending you a big dose of love and support for a smooth recovery. You can bet we’ll be cheering extra loud when he hits that stage next week.
