"I hope people are able to feel this music the way we did while making it," Moore said of the surprise songs.

Multi-platinum American singer-songwriter Kip Moore has surprise released two new songs, Flowers In December and Wildfire.
Capping a huge 2024 that’s seen Moore embrace independence, team up with Virgin Music Group, and recently headline arenas in Australia, the two songs couldn’t be more different.
Flowers In December is a melancholy ballad that Moore co-wrote with Erich Wigdahl and co-produced with Jaren Johnston. Meanwhile, Wildfire is the kind of soaring country song that Moore does so well, burning with passion. Moore co-produced the song with Oscar Charles and co-wrote it with Charles, Dan Couch, and Hank Born.
The tracks follow Moore’s recent epic win at the 58th Annual CMA Awards, where he took home the 2024 International Artist Achievement Award. The songs also come after Moore recently released the songs Learning As I Go and Live Here To Work, the latter of which marked his first release in two years.
Here’s what Moore had to say about his two new songs:

We’ve played ‘Flowers In December’ a couple of times live and the reaction was just so visceral we knew this had to be the next song to be released.
I’ve always been influenced by different types of music, that began when I was a kid. This song has so many different threads of those inspirations running through it. I’m also fortunate enough to be in a new chapter of my career, and so with that in mind I decided to make good on releasing more and more music as the songs are recorded, and so I’m also releasing ‘Wildfire’ today.
When we wrote and recorded this song there was no agenda in mind and all the walls came down on trying to fit into any kind of perceived box. I hope people are able to feel this music the way we did while making it.
