James Johnston Announces 'Raised Like That' Regional Australian Tour

After making ARIA country chart history for an Australian debut album, James Johnston has announced that he’s taking Raised Like That on the road.

Having peaked at #1 on the ARIA Top 20 Australian Albums (All Genres) and #1 on the ARIA Top 20 Australian Country Album, Raised Like That is dominating charts as well as listener playlists.

Since releasing the song of the same name two years ago, Johnston has experienced six #1 airplay hits, 110 consecutive weeks in the Top 20 of the Countrytown Hot 50 National airplay chart, 55 million global streams, two Golden Guitars and the song now being certified ARIA platinum – it’s fair to say that 2023 has been the year of James Johnston.

On Saturday, 18 November, Johnston and his band will perform at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre, followed by the Tamworth Entertainment Centre the next night, the Great Western Hotel in Rockhampton on Thursday, 23 November, Townsville Entertainment Centre on Friday, 24 November, and caps off his run at Venue 114 on the Sunshine Coast on Sunday, 26 November.

Pre-sale tickets to Johnston’s upcoming Raised Like That tour dates go on sale on Wednesday, 18 October, followed by the general ticket sale on Friday, 20 October. Tickets will be available via James Johnston’s website.

“As the father of two boys, I want my concert to be for all country music lovers, regardless of age or where you come from,” Johnston said in a statement. “This show is for everyone to come and sing their hearts out and just have a damn good time.”

Johnston will be joined by special guests and collaborators Zac & George, as well as The Voice Australia contestant and growing country artist Bella Mackenzie.
