Kacey Musgraves has unveiled her latest single, The Lost Highway, a haunting cover of Hank Williams' classic. This release marks a significant moment in Musgraves' career, coinciding with her signing to the newly revived Lost Highway Records. Offering a fresh take on the iconic song. Musgraves' rendition pays homage to the original while infusing it with her signature sound.

The revival of Lost Highway Records, led by Cindy Mabe and T Bone Burnett, aims to continue the label's legacy of supporting artists who prioritize artistry over commercial appeal.

Musgraves' addition to the roster underscores her commitment to authentic music-making and her alignment with the label's ethos. Her signing is seen as a return to her roots, reflecting her journey as an artist who has consistently pushed boundaries while staying true to her country origins.

The Lost Highway is now available on all major streaming platforms, offering a glimpse into Musgraves' evolving musical landscape and her dedication to preserving the rich traditions of country music.

Her first-ever headline tour in Australia took place in May 2019, following the release of her critically acclaimed album Golden Hour. During this tour, Musgraves performed in Brisbane, Sydney and in Melbourne.

It was a tour full of magical moments, but none more iconic than when Musgraves did a shoey out of a glass slipper. In true fairy-tale-meets-festival style, a fan handed her the glass slipper from the crowd, and Musgraves leaned fully into the moment, sipping from the makeshift “Cinderella” shoe to roaring applause.

Since then, fans have eagerly awaited her return to Australian shores, and that might not be too far away. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published on April 30, Musgraves stated she’s about to announce international tour dates “I’m going to South America, then Asia and Australia”.

So buckle up Kacey Musgraves fans! Looks like an announcement is imminent!
