Cresfest launched in Creswick, Victoria (between Daylesford and Ballarat) in April this year. The festival convenor Judy Turner's life dream is to bring more chances to play and hear good music to the adults and kids of Creswick. The inaugural program featured critically acclaimed Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, Freya Josephine Hollick, D'Arcy Spiller, Neil Adam, Evan & Mischa, and many more.

It's been confirmed the 2023 edition will take place between 31 March to 2 April and boasts proud Mutti Mutti singer Kutcha Edwards, UK folk duo While & Matthews, Australian folk music and Music Victoria award winners, The Weeping Willows, Ami Williamson, Bush Gothic, and more. Only the first announcement; festival organisers will reveal more names on 1 December.

Speaking with Ballarat Times, Turner assured patrons that the organising committee had listened to feedback and is ready to bring an even better Cresfest in 2023. "We have simplified the ticketing, and we want to reward our supporters by offering best price tickets through September, to our headline artist announcement on 6 October, so it's first in best dressed," she shared.

"We have such an exciting line-up of musicians... Port Fairy Folk Festival Artist of the Year for 2022, proud Mutti Mutti man Kutcha Edwards, is coming to CresFest 2023. As for other acts, James Taylor said of one legendary UK duo, 'they light up the room with their amazing energy'. Everyone worked so hard, from the musicians through to the committee and volunteers. It was inspirational," Turner continued.

The Victorian Dining and Entertainment Program is back, which means that festivalgoers can save 25% on tickets. Subscribing members can also save $60 from Cresfest and claim 25% of their ticket price (up to $125) from the Victorian Government.

If you're interested in spending a weekend in west-central Victoria, listening to music and hanging out in the town, you can purchase tickets from the festival website
