Seaforth ProfileAfter two years of grinding as a solo act, Mitch Thompson is looking to make Seaforth a duo once more. To make that happen, he’s holding auditions to find his next musical partner.
“I’ve decided it’s time Seaforth became a duo again, so I’m opening up auditions,” Thompson wrote on Instagram this week (28 October).
He continued, “If you can sing, play guitar and are based in or able to get to Nashville, send me a little about yourself at [email protected]. Know someone? Send this their way.”
Could you be the next member of Seaforth? There’s only one way to find out – send that email and submit your audition.
In October 2024, Seaforth became a solo act after Thompson’s bandmate, Tom Jordan, announced his departure. It was an amicable split, with Jordan admitting that his heart hadn’t been in Seaforth like it used to be, so it was time to leave.
“After some time away and much-needed conversations between us, Tom has decided to step away from Seaforth to focus on producing and writing music full-time,” the pair told fans on social media at the time.
They added, “Mitch will be continuing Seaforth by himself to ensure the story is far from over.”
Last April, Seaforth signed to ABC Music. “I’m so pumped to be working with ABC Music,” Thompson said. “It’s always been a goal of mine to release music back home and really build my story there.”
He continued, “Australia is where I grew up, and there’s no place like it – so getting to properly show up and give it the love and dedication it deserves, especially with such a great team behind me, means the world. This is the start of a new chapter after some big changes, and I couldn’t be more excited.”
