More Seaforth More Seaforth

Australian country duo Seaforth made a surprise announcement today (22 October), revealing that one-half of the pair, Tom Jordan, has decided to depart the group. The good news, however, is that it’s an amicable split.

Jordan shared the news with bandmate Mitch Thompson via video and statement. In the video, Jordan admitted that his heart hasn’t been in Seaforth like it used to be, so it’s his time to leave. But because of the new, open conversations the duo has been having, they’ve grown much closer.

You can read the statement below:

After some time away and much needed conversations between us, Tom has decided to step away from Seaforth to focus on producing and writing music full-time.

Mitch will be continuing Seaforth by himself to ensure the story is far from over.

We're still best mates and plan to keep making music together for Seaforth and beyond. This decision ensures we stay creatively and mentally in a good place, and we believe it's the right move for both of us.

Thank you for all of your support so far. There's plenty of new music coming and we hope you stay for the rest of the journey. Swipe to watch us talk more about it ..

Seaforth was born out of the pair’s lifelong friendship. After developing their friendship at three years old, the duo eventually discovered a shared love for The Beatles and Keith Urban. Naming the band after the suburb they grew up in in New South Wales, the duo moved to Nashville in 2017 to develop their songwriting.
