While Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, Zach Bryan & Kacey Musgraves and more have already won significant awards, Best Country Album will likely be reserved for the main Grammys ceremony.
While the Best Country Album category will likely be reserved for the main show, kicking off in under two hours, Stapleton has won some significant awards already. He won Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song with the same song, White Horse.
He won the Best Country Solo Performance ahead of Dolly Parton, Brandy Clark, Tyler Childers and Luke Combs. He also faced significant competition in the Best Country Song category, with Zach Bryan & Kacey Musgraves, Brandy Clark, Morgan Wallen and Tyler Childers vying for the award.
However, the Best Country Album doesn’t include Stapleton, so that award is between Kelsea Ballerini, Brothers Osborne, Zach Bryan, Tyler Childers and Lainey Wilson.
The Best Country Duo/Group Performance was won by Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves’ popular duet, I Remember Everything, while Joni Mitchell won Best Folk Album for her Live at Newport concert recorded in 2022.
Jason Isbell, notably not in the country categories, has also won two Grammy Awards this year. He took home Best American Roots Song for Cast Iron Skillet, while Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit won Best Americana Album for Weathervanes. Brandy Clark and Brandi Carlile won Best Americana Performance with Dear Insecurity, and Allison Russell won Best American Roots Performance with Eve Is Black.
