Not interested in just releasing music and having fun on social media, Australian country-pop singer-songwriter Chelsea Berman is launching a new podcast.

Landing at some time today – Berman will post the link you need to listen on social media – the Obsessed singer announced the new project yesterday.

Berman’s podcast venture is called We Are The Music Industry and will find her interviewing “epic musicians and music industry guests” about the “real shit” it takes to be a musician in 2024. She wrote in an announcement post yesterday (23 July) alongside a photo to accompany the podcast:

In case I didn’t YAP enough on socials, you can now listen to me interview epic musicians and music industry guests on my new podcast ‘We Are The Music Industry’

This is the podcast that I’ve been searching for, where people in the music industry talk about the REAL shit that comes along with being a musician.

The first episode is dropping tomorrow, and I can’t wait for you guys to listen! We’re not just talking about the music industry, we ARE the music industry

The We Are The Music Industry podcast arrives after Berman has released a string of impressive singles (and music videos), including Obsessed (released in April), Break Up Again (October 2023), and Where Does That Leave Me (June 2023). Travelling to Nashville for CMA Fest last month, Berman has also been in the studio writing new music.

Co-written alongside Melanie DyerWhere Does That Leave Me follows someone in a long-distance relationship as they ultimately put the other person’s needs above their own.

In a press release, Berman said, “Although it was tough to film such a personal and emotional video, I’m so happy with how it all came together. Jake [Davey] did an amazing job showing everything that goes through your mind when leaving a relationship.”

Last March, Berman’s song Going There had a video premiere on Countrytown.

Berman started performing at the age of eight. To date, she has toured extensively and shared the stage with artists such as Melanie Dyer, Travis Collins, Brad Cox, Amber Lawrence, Kirsty Lee Akers, The Viper Creek Band, and Hurricane Fall.
