Casey Barnes is teasing the release of his new banger, Buy That Girl A Beer.
Sharing a snippet of the unreleased track on social media, the Australian country music hitmaker highlights the song’s midtempo verse leading to a powerful chorus. There are only a few weeks to wait – Buy That Girl A Beer will be released on Friday, 2 May.
Barnes’ first taste of new music since releasing his fifth album, Mayday, last year makes it a thrilling time to follow his career. He wrote in an email to mailing list subscribers, “My brand new single ‘Buy That Girl A Beer’ will be all yours on Friday, May 2. It has been almost one full year since I have released any new music, so now is the time to get excited!”
In another statement, Barnes said of the new song, “Buy That Girl A Beer isn’t just a song about making a move at the bar — it’s about taking a shot in life. Whether it’s love, a dream, or a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, you’ll never know what could happen unless you go for it!!”
You can pre-save the single here or follow Barnes on streaming services to keep up with his releases.
Since the release of Mayday, Barnes has been busy: he’s gone on a national tour, played at Ridin’ Hearts, Over Yonder Festival, and Tamworth Country Music Festival, will perform at the Woodstock Farm Presents: Legends Of Country festival next month, and is heading to Nashville in June for the renowned CMA Fest.

Barnes said of the album last year, “I’ve spent the last two years working the hardest I've ever worked before, and I couldn’t be any prouder of this record.
“I’ve been lucky enough to team up with some incredible songwriters, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it! This album is definitely for the fans, and I'm fortunate enough to have the best ones out there!”
Michael Chugg of Chugg Music added, “The last four years have been an incredibly rewarding time for me since Chugg Music began our relationship with Casey… The new album Mayday has taken a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, and I know that it is a powerful statement that will stamp Casey as worthy of international stardom.”
