Is Stagecoach still a country music festival?

Is it fair to say that Stagecoach isn’t entirely a country music festival anymore? The festival, a sister to Coachella that shares the same location - the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California - will be headlined by Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, and Morgan Wallen in April 2024.
While those headliners are quite country, there is an astonishing amount of surprises on the 2024 bill, including the appearance of Post Malone (performing a “special set of country covers”), Nickelback, DJ turned sometimes country star Diplo, rapper Wiz Khalifa, and The Beach Boys.
We wonder what kind of set Wiz will perform – at this year’s edition of Stagecoach, Diplo performed a 70-minute set that included the recent track Use Me, a remix featuring Billboard #1 country artist Zach Bryan, Riddim, a remix starring Creedence Clearwater Revival and Avicii, and more.
Whatever happens at Stagecoach 2024, we’re just stoked that Aussie country lad Casey Barnes will have the opportunity to fly the flag for Australian country music in the US.
Stagecoach 2024 does have numerous surprises on its bill, but the festival also showcases many popular country, blues and Americana artists, including Elle King, Jelly Roll, Willie Nelson, Ernest, Hardy, Bailey Zimmerman, and many more.
The 2024 edition of the festival spans from Friday, 26 April, until Sunday, 28 April. You can check out the entire line-up below.

Diplo wrote on social media following his Stagecoach set this year, “A lot of people told me I was crazy to do another project, and then they said “country music? Are you high?? Well, maybe I was, but I’ve never lost a bet when I bet on myself, so I went out.. secured a few platinum plaques, made a new album and closed out Stagecoach two years in a row . . my favorite [sic] hobby is to prove the doubters wrong .. and my set is now live on youtube.”
Days before his Stagecoach appearance, the famous DJ released his latest album, Thomas Wesley: Chapter 2 - Swamp Savant, which showcased Diplo returning to his roots and learning to play the guitar.
This year’s Stagecoach Festival, which hosted the likes of Luke Bryan, Kane Brown, Chris Stapleton, Brooks & Dunn and many more, was live-streamed on Prime Video and Amazon Music’s Twitch Channel.
