Chase Rice may have announced his highly anticipated return to Australia after performing at this year’s CMC Rocks Queensland last month, but today, he’s revealed who will open for him on his international tour.

Rice will tour Australia in March 2025 (and headline Meatstock in Toowoomba and Bendigo), and Australian country singer-songwriter Bella Mackenzie will join him for dates in Newcastle, Sydney, and Melbourne.

Fresh off releasing her debut EP, WILD THING, Mackenzie – a previous Groundwater CMF KIX-Start competition winner and The Voice Australia 2023 contestant – has won over the hearts and minds of country music fans in Australia with her rich voice, catchy country-pop tunes, and can-do attitude. With WILD THING, she ramped up the attitude and showcased empowerment throughout the EP’s seven tracks.

Mackenzie’s star has furthered this year thanks to performances at BIGSOUND, the Brisbane-based annual music festival and industry conference, and Boots, Buckles & Beers Country Music Festival and Ridin' Hearts Festival.

Mackenzie said of the opportunity to open for Rice on the Australian leg, “So grateful & excited to be heading out on tour with @chaserice for the AUS leg of his ‘The Go Down Singin’ International Tour’! Which show will I see you at?”

Rice teased new music for the forthcoming dates and said of the tour, which begins in March in Australia and lasts until August, “Gettin back out there next year. I love touring, I love seeing the country and gettin to take my music to other countries. I’ll keep doin it as long as y’all want to keep hearing my music.

“This tour will be a lot of the Cowboys and Go Down Singin’ records. This is just the front half of it but I can’t wait to see everybody next year. Gonna add in some acoustic stuff from albums I have comin out next year too, let’s get it.”

In September, Chase Rice independently released his new album, Go Down Singin’, the follow-up to his February 2023 album, I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell.
