Two of Australia’s favourite country music artists, Andrew Swift and Amber Lawrence, have unveiled a duet called Fumes And Fireworks.
A mid-tempo tune, the song opens with Lawrence’s soothing, comfortable voice before Swift shares a verse with her, offering additional warmth before the bright chorus arrives. It’s the kind of duet that really feels like one, with both singers equally represented and showcasing their unique sets of skills as singers and songwriters.
Fumes And Fireworks hits its highest point at the bridge, in which Lawrence and Swift urge listeners to “light it on up” like gasoline. You can listen to the song below.
Posting about the song’s release on Facebook this morning (3 May), Swift wrote, “Today’s the day! Fumes and Fireworks is out everywhere, stream it on your preferred platform, buy it on iTunes, share it with friends, use it on your TikTok’s, most importantly… Amber Lawrence & I hope you enjoy it.”
Lawrence added, “Our new song is out today! I love this song.. a collab with Andrew Swift… it’s called Fumes & Fireworks and it’s available now.”
Today and tomorrow (4 May), Lawrence and Swift will appear at the inaugural Melbourne Muster at the Caribbean Gardens in Scoresby. Will punters get to witness the live debut of Fumes And Fireworks?
