Singer-songwriter Hayley Jensen has been wowing crowds since her Australian Idol days and shows no sign of slowing down. The hitmaker, who was featured on Countrytown’s Hot Country Hits playlist, recently released a video clip for her new single, Stomping Ground.
Jensen’s newest hit, Stomping Ground, was released earlier this month and makes for the perfect addition to punters’ party playlists. The track is just as the title suggests, championing the local pubs out there “where the wine it flows and music’s loud”, as Jensen puts it.
The artist's newest hit was co-written by other musical talents, such as Canadian singer Alexandra Adamoski (known professionally as Alee), ARIA #1 songwriter Frank Troy Kokol, and Melbourne songwriting and production duo Msquared—The Veronicas and Icehouse collaborator Michael Paynter, and Mushroom’s Michael DeLorenzis.
The video itself was made by Jay Sweeney and Blacklist Productions, showing the leopard-print-donned Jensen sitting on the bar and playing pub games while belting her heart out.
In the past two weeks alone, the song has been streamed over 160,000 times on Spotify, one of Jensen’s highest-streaming songs yet. The single has also made it on iHeartRadio, Triple M, and KIX Country and scored the top spot on the AIR 100% Independent Singles chart upon its debut.
In a statement, Jensen said about the new track:

Working alongside MSquared on the production of Stomping Ground was an absolute dream. Their passion and creativity breathed life into every note and lyric, taking the song to new heights. Together, with Troy & Alee, I feel we've crafted a track that embodies the spirit of adventure and the joy of living in the moment, and I’m so excited to get it out there!
Aesthetically, it was also amazing to collaborate with the incredible Michelle (”She is Aphrodite”). I’ve admired her work for so long and I really feel like we captured the visuals perfectly which has elevated the entire project. All of these new creative partnerships have really inspired me as an artist, and I’m excited to continue working together in the future. Yes! There is more on the way!
