Jeremy Turner is a gritty singer-songwriter who embodies the lifestyle of a travelling musician, spending most of the year on the road, taking his sound to his supporter base.
His love of country music has already seen him tour extensively between Australia, New Zealand and even the USA. Jeremy, who lists his inspiration as artists including Cody Johnson, Leanne Womack and Keith Urban, has spent many years mastering his craft as a storyteller, grinding away at the things that make him tick, writing, recording, and performing music.
He recently released his debut commercial single, She Keeps Comin’ Around – the first in a series of singles to come. Written by Jason Matthews, Johnny Bulford and Phil Barton, the track was also produced by Barton along with Brad Winters and mastered at Georgetown by Andrew Darby.
She Keeps Comin’ Around tells the story of a dysfunctional relationship, where neither party can let it go. Each time he tries to make a break, she opens the door again, and they are drawn back together. As one line in the song states, “Old habits die hard in the moonlight.”

There’s not much I have to say about this one as the lyrics in the song speak for themselves. I’ve always loved the song, however the whole meaning of it changes once you have your own family and you look at it from a deeper perspective. It’s a good song to sit back and relax to after spending the day with my family, and the fact that it’s a Troy song, someone who has been such a huge inspiration throughout my life and musical journey, just makes it that much better.

If you’re not singing along to the chorus of this one, are you even a country fan? If this isn’t the best all ‘round country song in the last 10 years… I don’t know what is. It’s a great song that makes you realise just how short life is, and that you can’t just sit back and wait for things to come to you, you need to live life to the fullest while you can. And how’s about that last note, ay?
If there was ever a song that you didn’t write, but you feel was written for you and about your individual experiences from the very first line to the last… this is it. LeeAnn’s voice is so vulnerable, and you can hear every single emotion, heartbreak, and despair in every word. Partnered with some amazing production, this track is always at the top of my playlists.
Jedd’s one of my favourite Aussie singer-songwriter and musicians. The banjos and guitars in this track are enough on their own, however you add Chris McHugh (Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts drummer) and there’s no way this song could’ve been anything but amazing. Certainly, an underrated Australia artist, he’s one of the best. He’s a huge inspiration to me as a musician… I mean… you’ve got to be something pretty special to be Vince Gill’s guitarist when he himself is one of the world’s greatest.
The best country voice in Australia! I love what this young lady’s about, and this song is so intelligently crafted with such fantastic lyrics. I’m a sucker for a sad country song and this one delivers on all fronts. This is a song where I can sit down, close my eyes, and really see the story unfold in my own interpretation.
