Jake Davey recently dropped his brand-new upbeat country pop track, Good Thing – and now comes the accompanying music video, premiering today exclusively on Countrytown.

Good Thing is a motivating reminder that our lives really are made up of small moments that matter. Co-produced by Jake and Rhys Zacher of Spinlight Studios and co-written with Canadian artists Josh David and Jessie T, Good Thing brings to life the positive and optimistic nature of Jake’s personality. 

Jake says, “A picture says a thousand words, right? We wanted to try something different for the Good Thing music video. As I perform the song through the incredible Farmhouse On Oxley, we see a couple enjoying special moments together.”

He adds, “It’s always a pleasure teaming up with Tommirock Films to bring my visions to life. I want to give a massive shoutout to everyone involved! Chloe, Jake, Sav and Grace. Also, I wouldn’t have that bad ass Ram if it weren’t for my mate, Chris! We hope you love the music video, we had a blast creating it!”

Good Thing follows his anthemic track Ends With Y, Admire and The Way She Does, which the latter garnering positions on the Countrytown Hot 50 Country Airplay Chart as well as the Spotify Fresh Country playlist and has over 485,000 streams on the platform to date. In fact, to date, Jake has amassed around a million streams across all platforms since 2019.

Hailing from the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, the country pop singer-songwriter has been honing his craft in music since the age of 6. Following the release of his 2019 debut single On Your Mind, Jake won the 2020 ‘Travis Collins Scholarship’ to attend the CMAA Academy in Tamworth, which lead to his first-ever publishing deal and a collaboration with Golden Guitar winner Kevin Bennett on his second single Think of Me, which debuted at #2 on iTunes.

Jake has played major festivals including the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Wingham Akoostic Festival, Lakeside Festival, and Country at the Beach, and supported artists including Diesel, Daryl Braithwaite, Rick Price, Casey Donovan, Taylor Henderson, Travis Collins and The Viper Creek Band. Drawing from influences like Old Dominion, Dan + Shay and Keith Urban, Jake has shaped himself into a formidable musician who embraces a modern country sound.

Jake was also a top ten Toyota Star Maker finalist in 2022.
