After her successful run on Australian Idol, Denvah has released the sunny new single, Making Cups Of Tea. Created alongside Jared Adlam, Reece Baines, and Paul Blakey, Denvah’s sweet, yodel-inspired vocals shine in a song she says “explores a very specific time” that “taps into the nostalgic and reminiscent feelings of a past memory or experience.”
In a statement, Denvah added, “The story-oriented song gives specific details of a memory, giving listeners the feeling of involvement in the narrative while still leaving room for curiosity. The track is a true recount of a life-changing event, told through memories, inside jokes, and personal breakthroughs, to fully encapsulate the gravity of this momentous occasion.”

Whiskey Jack brings Australiana and country to the indie-folk genre with Wild Card, a song that contains poetic imagery and soothing melodies anchored by a Nylon string guitar. Dylan Ollivierre (who also plays the piano) produced the song, which features cello, double bass, backing vocals by Amy Skellern, and drums by Jack Seah.
“This song is about the highs and lows of going through things together and being there for someone even while watching them repeat the same mistakes,” Whiskey Jack said about the track. Exploring heartbreak and relationships cut short, Wild Card is a moving, relatable song we all need in our lives.
Delivering a huge bluegrass vibe and “swagger alert,” Good Corn Liquor share a song with a message far less rambunctious than the pace and vocal delivery suggest. Negotiations With A Shadow is about checking in on your mates and not being embarrassed to ask for help.
Hailing from Gunnedah, NSW, the latest number from Good Corn Liquor was inspired by punk rock. Their singer, Murph, originally intended for the song to be a rocker, but it’s now a country tune about vices and looking out for one another.
