COUNTRYTOWN in partnership with IHeartCountry Australia is proud to announce Darlinghurst as our first Artist Of The Week. Every week we'll choose one new Aussie artist to shine a light on and you'll hear them all week across IHeartCountry.
Since their debut single Sorry We Won't Get Back To You, from all the way back in June 2019, to their latest Gotta Go Rodeo, Darlinghurst have been blazing a path through Australian country music.
In just over twelve months the band have netted four consecutive top 5 singles in the Australian country airplay chart. That's a 100% win ratio! Their current single Gotta Go Rodeo today claimed the #1 spot on the Hot 50 Australian country music airplay chart. Check out our recent interview with the band here.
"It's been a very beautifully surreal twelve months - to put in all the focus and hard work to craft out our collective sound, and to then have it resonate with our audience and the industry and be received the way that it has so far; it's something we, and our wonderful and supportive Helium Records family, are incredibly grateful and proud of.
