Soundtracks by Jade Gibson – Song of the Day

Our Song of the Day is Soundtracks by North East Victorian singer-songwriter, Jade Gibson.

Written with Matt Young and produced by Matt Fell, Soundtracks is a country rock anthem about the nostalgia. The single, like many of Jade’s songs, is inspired by chasing dreams and growing up listening to Australian music.

Jade says, “Soundtracks captures that feeling of nostalgia that classic Australian artists such as Johnny Farnham and Jimmy Barnes have every time you play them. They take me back to my youth, growing up in regional Victoria.”

Since the age of 14, Jade has performed over 500 gigs across Australia and the USA. From performing in pubs and B&S Balls to playing alongside some of Australia's most popular country music acts including including The Wolfe Brothers, Travis Collins and Christie Lamb, all helping shape Jade’s sound and show.

Jade released her debut EP, The Great Unknown in March 2019. The five-track EP featured songs inspired by her idols Keith Urban, Dixie Chicks and Fleetwood Mac with stories of being young, love, heartbreak and chasing dreams. The title track debuted at #1 on the Country iTunes charts, stamping her name as an upcoming artist to watch on the Australian country music scene. 

Soundtracks follows Jade’s recent hits Til’ We Fly, 23 Dryburgh Street and Wildfires.
