Nashville-via-Pittsburgh duo Lakeview have released the music video for their latest single She Drove Me To The Bar. The video switches the focus of the heartbreak song to focus on struggling small business in the time of Covid.
"Independent bars and all small businesses are the DNA of each city/town. They serve the local community not only by employing the people who live there but also give us times we all will never forget." The duo told Country Music Television.
The song is a bit of slow-burner with versed backed by palm-muted chords and starry lead guitars. The chorus is where the song shines with skillful lyricism and Jesse Denaro killer vocals.
"If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's the fact that heartbreak is universal. We all cope with it differently, and sometimes it can feel damn near impossible to share - so much so, it's as if it's just taking the wheel in your life. My favorite part of She Drove Me To The Bar is the unexpected play on words that really bring that concept to life. We had such a blast writing this song and really hope that everyone enjoys it as much as we do." Said Jesse Denaro.
