Our Song of the Day is the extremely catchy Homegrown by rising country band, King Calaway. The feel-good anthem sets the tone for their recently released four-track EP, Midnight, as the band returns to their country roots while showcasing the evolution of their sound.

The five-piece band, comprised of Caleb Miller, Chris Deaton, Simon Dumas, Chad Michael Jervis, and Austin Luther, carefully crafted the new EP during the pandemic, which also contains the collaboration, Good Time To Me with Lainey Wilson.

King Calaway says, “We’ve been hard at work writing and recording what we feel defines a new journey for us. We simply could not be more thrilled to arrive at this moment and share the first glimpse!”

Midnight follows the release of their 2019 debut album, Rivers. Featuring twelve tracks, the album features a song co-written by Mitchell Tenpenny as well as their debut single, World For Two. They performed the latter on an episode of Neighbours in 2019, alongside Australia’s Got Talent winner, Bonnie Anderson. That same year, they also released a cover of Happy Xmas (War Is Over).

King Calaway is based in Nashville, but accumulated from both the UK and the US, which brings a lot of different inspirations, influences and backgrounds to their music. The result is a layered vocal sound that nods to the band's influences, including the Eagles, Keith Urban and Ed Sheeran. Since forming in 2018, they’ve brought their energetic live show to various stages, including a CMA Fest debut and opening slots for Rascal Flatts and Garth Brooks.
