Our Song of the Day is the catchy AF new song Hey Delilah from acclaimed American rock band Blackberry Smoke. Made up of Charlie Starr (vocals, guitar), Paul Jackson (guitar, vocals), Richard Turner (bass, vocals), Brit Turner (drums) and Brandon Still (keyboards), Blackberry Smoke has become known for a singular sound indebted to classic rock, blues, country, and folk.
Describing the track, lead singer Charlie Starr says, “A good old scary Bible story with a New Orleans groove. Delilah has a cell phone now, though.”
Hey Delilah is the second single off their highly anticipated upcoming album, You Hear Georgia, set for release May 28. Produced by Dave Cobb and features special guests Jamey Johnson and Warren Haynes as well as background vocals from The Black Bettys, You Hear Georgia pays homage to the band’s deep respect for their Georgia roots.
Since forming in 2001, Blackberry Smoke has independently released six full-length albums and toured relentlessly. In 2015, they released Holding All the Roses, which was the first independently released record to hit #1 on the Billboard Country album charts in modern history.

Like An Arrow followed in 2016, again putting them at #1. 2018 saw the band outsell all other releases with their self-produced Find A Light, which debuted as the best-selling Country and Americana/Folk album in the country, entered at #3 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and #2 on the Billboard Americana/Folk Albums chart.
Following the release of Find A Light, the band shared three additional projects—a live album and concert film, Homecoming: Live In Atlanta, a 6-song acoustic EP, The Southern Ground Sessions and Live From Capricorn Sound Studios, an EP of six covers that have special ties to the historic studio.
In addition to their work as musicians, Blackberry Smoke remains committed to charitable work and has raised nearly $500,000 benefiting children’s cancer research.
