More Seaforth More Seaforth

Comprised of members Tom Jordan and Mitch Thompson, Seaforth are a rising pop-country duo from the suburb of Seaforth in New South Wales, who now call Nashville home. Their heart-wrenching single, Breakups is our Song of the Day.

Written by Seaforth with Cameron Bedell and Liz Rose, the song details the emotional aftermath of a breakup and the insurmountable pain both parties go through. The track was self-produced in their home studio.

Mitch said, “Breakups is the most personal song we’ve put out to date. It was written from a very real place and was almost like therapy for us both in different ways. We hope everyone can related to it like we do.”

The music video was directed by Jimmy Fiscoto in a COVID-19 safe environment.

Mitch said, “Most of our music videos have been really energetic and upbeat, so this was our first time doing something more serious. It was really important for us to convey all the emotion in this song since it came from such a raw place.”

Tom added, “We wanted to keep the vibe of the video pretty low key to match the song, but still make sure our personalities came through. There's little touches like the lighting and stuff around the set, like the posters and the neon.”

Seaforth released their debut EP, Love That in 2019. Its title track made waves on country radio and earned more than 43 million streams. They collaborated with fellow country artist, Mitchell Tenpenny on their follow-up single Anything She Says, which was gold-certified and surpassed 79 million streams.

Last year, Seaforth were also the recipients of APRA’s Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year award.
