The Buckleys give the holidays’ a whole new sound with their Studio 54 inspired take on the Christmas classic, Boogie Woogie Santa Claus.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year – and I don’t mean Christmas, I mean that magical month where we can blast holiday music and no one can judge us for it! Because, let’s face it, who doesn’t love Christmas music all year round?! This December, we are going to be adding our Songs of the Day to our very special Countrytown Christmas Playlist, complete with re-imagined country-style holiday classics as well as what are sure to be new festive favourites!
The Buckleys give the holidays’ a whole new sound with their Studio 54 inspired take on the Christmas classic, Boogie Woogie Santa Claus - it's our festive Song of the Day! Originally released in 1948 by Mabel Scott and then in 1950 by Patti Page on the legendary Mercury Records, The Buckleys bring their feel-good, dancing and up-tempo beats to help celebrate a rockin’ holiday.
Building upon a wealth of musical influences and time spent developing and honing their artistry, the Byron Bay trio (who refer to themselves in the self-coined style of "Hippie Country") released their debut album, Daydream last year. A fusion of country, pop, Americana and indie, Daydream is a sun-kissed collection of music that embodies the personalities and spirit of the Buckley siblings – Sarah, Molly and Lachlan.

Daydream produced four Top 10 Australian Country Airplay charting singles: Daydream (#1), I’m Comin’ For Ya (Love) (#3), Money (#2) and Breathe (#3), and features their newer single releases Glad You Did and Woodstock69. The success of these singles has been felt not just on Australian soil, but internationally too, with multiple playlist nods across Spotify, Apple Music, VEVO and Radio Disney Country in the USA.
