Rodeo Promotions NT will present the inaugural event, Top End Rock n Rodeo Muster, a new one-day extravaganza heading to the Australian state of the Northern Territory.
On Saturday, 11 May, country music fans can bring their families and friends to a child-friendly, all-ages rodeo and music festival, offering rodeo experiences, tunes, food and carnival rides for the kids. The event will be held at the Darwin Showgrounds and will run from midday until “late”.
The first-ever event is headlined by Australian country music stars Casey Barnes and The Wolfe Brothers, with this year’s Golden Guitar Talent of the Year, Max Jackson, and local NT acts Stereobate and The Fame Junkies. Tickets will be available on Friday, 16 February, via Ticketebo.
Promoter Russell Simpson said in a press release about the event, “Knowing we had to turn vast numbers of locals and tourists away from our previous events, we decided to move to the Darwin Showgrounds. This gives everyone the opportunity to attend and enjoy the great facilities they have on offer.
“We have a full event rodeo, five bands, a great range of local food, carnival rides for the kids, and—another first for Darwin—Mulletfest. Where else would you want to be?”
The Wolfe Brothers’ Tom Wolfe added, “We can’t wait to bring our show to the Top End Rock n Rodeo Muster. It’s been far too long since we have been to the Top End, and we can’t wait to play for everyone.”

Max Jackson ended 2023 with the release of her single Little More Country, which ended up at #1 on the Countrytown National Airplay Charts for two consecutive weeks. Little More Country went on to be played on Garth Brooks’ radio station, The Big 615. You can watch her reaction to that moment here.
Last month, The Wolfe Brothers won three awards at the Golden Guitars – Album of the Year (for Livin’ The Dream), Country Music Capital News Group or Duo of the Year, and Vocal Collaboration of the Year (for Runnin’ The Country with Travis Collins).
Also in January, Casey Barnes was awarded his first ARIA gold record for God Took His Time On You. He was presented with the award at a sold-out Tamworth Country Music Festival concert, with a representative from independent music company Chugg Music surprising Barnes with the plaque while he was on stage.
