With Thomas Rhett being a father to four young girls he’s probably had his fair share of exposure to Disney films – but I doubt anyone expected the platinum-selling artist to go on TikTok with a video of him singing along to For The First Time In Forever from the 2013 animated film, Frozen. Yet here we are.

The viral clip of him singing into a toy karaoke machine, raked up over 74k likes, and sees Rhett harmonising with the recording featuring original performers Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel.

In another TikTok video, he gave another look at #dadlife. He captioned, “When you just get back from being on the road for 8 days…”

Rhett shares four daughters – Will Gray, 6, Ada James, 4, Lennon Love, 2 and Lillie Carolina, 10 months, with his high school sweetheart, wife of almost ten years, Lauren Akins.

At the 2021 CMT Music Awards, Rhett said he turns to his children’s favourite movies for inspiration.

“It makes me a creative writer. If I only listened to what was happening on country radio right now, I might just keep writing the same thing,” he explained to SouthernLiving. “But when I hear the Frozen or Coco soundtracks, I get weird inspiration from them. I think that the wider you let your brain [be expanded], the farther you can expand your own genre. In general, watching my kids be hilarious and cute and living life while hearing those songs has given me so many ideas.”

Earlier this year, Rhett revealed that his song Bring The Bar reminds him of We Don’t Talk About Bruno, from Disney’s Encanto. The track was written in 2019, two years before the film's release.

“Now that [Bring The Bar] is coming out when We Don’t Talk About Bruno is out at the same time, makes me feel really good about life,” he said. “Because we have been watching Encanto severely. And this song reminds me of that song.”

Rhett released his sixth studio album, Where We Started on April 1, 2022. He also plans to release Country Again: Side B later this year, which follows Side A, which dropped in April 2021.
