Sydney Harbour is about to become the home of a new country music event, singer-songwriter Jeremy Turner announced on Facebook this week.
The first-ever country music event in Australia to take over the picturesque space, Hits On The Harbour has been described as an epic country music party.
On Facebook, Turner announced that he’d teamed up with local business Chris Watson Travel and Ringers Western to present a new event, Tamworth Comes To Town.
“Hey guys! Proud to announce I'll be teaming up with two great mates of mine.. Chris Watson Travel and Ringers Western as we take over the Sydney Harbour with Tamworth Comes to Town,” Turner said. “Australia's first Country Music Festival on the harbour.”
Turner won’t be the only one performing at the inaugural event. Hits On The Harbour, sponsored by Ringers Western, will take place over the weekend of 31 January – 2 February on the Seadeck boat and will host five artists performing over five hours, as well as DJs, dancing, and more.
Headlined by American artist John Stone, the event will also feature Tori Darke, Liam Brew, and Tyla Rodrigues. Described as Australia’s hottest country DJ, DJ Bux will perform at the event, too.

Last month, Countrytown hosted a video premiere for Jeremy Turner’s new clip, What You’re Not Looking For.
Led by Turner’s impressive vocal range and acoustic guitar, the song is layered with electric instruments and the singer’s exploration of unexpected love and serendipitous gifts. He co-wrote the song with Nashville-based Australian hitmaker, Phil Barton, and Brian White.
A song that explores Turner’s crooning side, the music video highlights his softer side with relatable storytelling that resonates on a universal level but with a uniquely Australian twist.
