Savannah In The Round festival, held in the Mareeba region, took place over the weekend (Friday, 11 October, to Sunday, 13 October), and it hosted the likes of Kip Moore, James Johnston, Sheppard, Max Jackson, and many more.

This year’s event didn’t just shine with the music; it broke records. For the 2024 Savannah In The Round, organisers saw an impressive 25% increase in ticket sales from the year before, selling a cumulative 23,000 tickets over the course of the festival. That jump also brought 9,000 unique visitors to the region.

On Friday, Lee Kernaghan, Tyler Hubbard, and The Living End performed massive sets to the Mareeba audience, followed by Saturday’s impressive line-up that starred James Johnston, Hoodoo Gurus, Kip Moore, and many more. The programming didn’t let up on Sunday, starring Graeme Connors, Jon Stevens, and Sheppard, amongst others.

Live music took place in the Big Top Music Hall, The Cape Stage, the Bull Bar, and The Rolling Backyard Stage – all located at the Mareeba Rodeo Arena. The one-of-a-kind festival backed that status not only with its live music programming but also by highlighting the beauty of Tropical North Queensland.

While we don’t know who will appear at Savannah In The Round 2025, you can purchase tickets for the event here if you don’t want to miss out on the experience next year.

Festival Director James Dein said of this year’s achievement, “It takes a big team to deliver an amazing festival, and I couldn’t be more proud of what they have achieved and the exponential growth that we’ve seen in the Savannah in the Round tribe because of their efforts.
