Sam Barber ProfileCountry Fest Queensland returns to Cluden Park, Townsville, in April 2027, and today, organisers have confirmed the line-up for next year’s event.
American country music sensation Sam Barber leads the line-up for next year’s festival, where he’ll be joined by an abundance of Australian and international country talent.

Over two days and two stages, the Carmichael Ford Main Stage and the newly introduced Belle Property Entertainment Stage, country music will take over Townsville on Friday, 16 and Saturday, 17 April 2027.
The two-day festival will feature live music, entertainment, food, bars, and activities for the whole family. It’s an all-ages event.
Tickets are now available; head to the Country Fest Queensland website for more details.
After successful editions of the festival, including this year’s, Country Fest moves to April to better align with international touring schedules. With that decision, new opportunities for American and Australian artists to tour North Queensland become viable. And, let’s be honest: autumn is a lovely time for a music festival.
Country Fest Queensland organiser Ellie Smith said of next year’s event, “This 2027 line-up is something we have been working on for over a year now, and we are so excited to bring this calibre of Country music artist to Townsville and North Queensland audience!
“By moving the festival to April, we hoped that this would open up more possibilities for the festival and the experience of our audience. Don’t wait to get your tickets; we are anticipating this will be a sell-out show!”
Townsville Mayor Nick Dametto added, “If there’s one thing Townsville does well, it’s hosting major events, and Country Fest 2027 is shaping up to be another huge success.
“Securing an international artist of Sam Barber’s calibre along with an impressive line-up of interstate and local acts is a big coup for our city. We expect thousands of visitors to descend on Townsville for the festival, generating significant economic benefits for local businesses and again putting our city in the national spotlight.”
Chelsea Cavanah, Director of Major Event Acquisition at Townsville Enterprise, concluded, “Securing international country music sensation Sam Barber is a major coup for Townsville and further strengthens our reputation as the Events Capital of the North. Country Fest Queensland gives North Queensland audiences the opportunity to experience world-class talent right here in our city.
“The exceptional response to the pre-sale, with tickets snapped up before a single artist had even been announced, shows the strong support for Country Fest Queensland and the community’s confidence in its ability to deliver a fantastic event. With this line-up now revealed, the 2027 festival is shaping up to be its biggest yet.”
