Post MalonePost Malone is set to surprise fans next week when he showcases a very different side to himself.
On Monday, 3 August, the Circles hitmaker will star in a Sesame Street special where he sings with Elmo and Abby Cadabby as the long-running series delivers a serious topic easy for children to understand.
In a teaser video, Post Malone sings a song called A Little Help – a riff of his 2024 country crossover hit with Morgan Wallen, I Had Some Help – with Elmo and Abby Cadabby. You can see the clip below.
Sesame Street airs on Netflix in the US. In the forthcoming episode, a main character, Big Bird, has his nest destroyed by a storm. Meanwhile, the team behind the series will showcase extreme weather events in a way that children can understand and empathise with.
“After a hurricane blows through Sesame Street, Big Bird no longer has a nest!” the plot description reads. “But his friends band together to cheer him up — and help rebuild his home.”
In a press release, Joseph Giraldi, Chief Operating Officer at Sesame Workshop, explained, “Extreme weather is now a reality for many families, and young children need support they can understand and trust.”

Giraldi continued, “With our Extreme Weather response initiative, we’re using the power of Sesame Street to help children prepare for what’s ahead, cope with big emotions during moments of disruption, and begin to recover afterward.”
Sesame Street added, “Children born in 2020 are projected to experience up to seven times more extreme weather events than those born in 1960, and one in five Americans has had to evacuate their home due to these events.”
The Instagram account for Elmo said of collaborating with Post Malone, “Thank you, Mr. Post Malone, for teaching Elmo that good friends can help you weather any storm.”
In Australia, Sesame Street plays on ABC iView.
In other Post Malone news, the rapper and country star is heading to Australia in October, when he headlines this year’s Strummingbird Festival and embarks on a run of stadium headline dates.
In June, he revealed that The Eternal Buzz, his highly anticipated follow-up to 2024’s F-1 Trillion, is “99% done.”
