The popular country singer’s sixth album, With Heaven on Top, was released in January. Since its release, Bryan has hosted sold-out stadium shows across the US, plus major shows across the UK and Europe. During the With Heaven on Top Tour, he’s teased a new body of work.
On the 4th of July weekend, Bryan shared a snippet of the song, Lodi When, on social media. He later unveiled a full-length rendition of the song, Better Friends, and according to Whiskey Riff, the forthcoming release is an EP titled Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs.
He announced the EP in July. Since then, he told fans in Salt Lake City that the EP would be released in October during a concert last month. During the tour, he premiered the songs Lodi When, You’ll Get By, Backwards, and Robot Killed the Working Man.
Appearing at Rogers Centre in Toronto this week, Bryan shared the news fans have been waiting for: his forthcoming EP will be released on Friday, 16 October, with one caveat: “If all goes well.”
“I got an EP coming out next month,” he said in a video you can watch below. “It comes out October 16th if all goes well. Here’s a song off there called Backwards.”
Zach Bryan is known for his stripped-back production and blunt, emotional songwriting. He’s built a career on songs that feel personal without being overly polished, helping him stand out in the modern country scene and gain mainstream appeal.
Bryan made his Australian debut in December 2023, performing for one night only at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse.
He performed exclusively as part of the Victorian government’s ALWAYS LIVE music program and was joined by surprise guests Dermot Kennedy and former Formula 1 icon Daniel Ricciardo. Bryan hasn’t returned for more shows since.
