This year’s People’s Choice Country Awards were held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on Thursday (26 September) and hosted by country music icon Shania Twain.
Once the award nominees were announced last month, one thing was very clear: Beyoncé absolutely dominated the nominations.
She was up for a whopping 12 awards, including the most prestigious award, The People’s Artist; she was also nominated for Female Artist of 2024, Social Country Star of 2024, Album of 2024, Song of 2024, Female Song of 2024, Collaboration Song of 2024, Cover Song of 2024, Crossover Song of 2024, and Storyteller Song of 2024.
Notably, Beyoncé received double nominations in the Female Song of 2024 category —with 16 Carriages and Texas Hold ’Em nominated—and the Cover Song of 2024 category—with her Beatles cover, Blackbiird, and her rendition of Dolly Parton's Jolene.
However, despite all those nominations, Beyoncé didn’t take home any awards.
Zach Bryan, who followed in the nomination tally with 11 nominations, won the Collaboration Song of 2024 award with I Remember Everything featuring Kacey Musgraves.

This year, the People’s Choice Country Awards belonged to Morgan Wallen, with the country music superstar taking home five awards, including the coveted People’s Artist of 2024. Shaboozey also took home some huge awards, including New Artist of 2024. Other big winners included Luke Combs, Dasha, and Kane Brown.
