Beyoncé has cemented her status as a country star, after garnering a whopping 12 nominations at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards.
The nominations are thanks to, in no small part, Beyoncé’s latest album, Cowboy Carter - the second act in her planned trilogy of albums.
Scoring a nomination for the biggest award of the evening, “The People’s Artist”, she’s also up for awards in the categories of “Female Artist of 2023”, “Social Country Star of 2023”, “Album of 2023”, “Song of 2023”, “Female Song of 2023”, “Collaboration Song of 2023”, “Cover Song of 2023”, “Crossover Song of 2023”, and “Storyteller Song of 2023”.
Notably, Beyoncé received double nominations in both the “Female Song of 2023” - with 16 Carriages and Texas Hold ’Em nominated - and the “Cover Song of 2023” category - with her Beatles cover, Blackbiird, and her rendition of Dolly Parton's Jolene.
Zach Bryan came close to the lead in the nomination tally, nabbing a total of 11 nominations after his massive year.
