Less than a fortnight after Kelsea Ballerini was struck in the face by what looked like a bracelet during a concert, Morgan Wallen was unfazed when hit with a cowboy boot at a recent show.

During his second stop at St. Louis on his One Night At A Time world tour on Friday, July 7, Wallen was signing autographs for fans who respectfully handed him items at the front of the stage. Then, one overzealous fan, presumably from too far away, threw a sparkly cowboy boot at Wallen, hitting the country hitmaker square in the chest while he was in the middle of signing a cowboy hat for another lucky fan.

In the video shared on TikTok, a visually annoyed Wallen picks up the cowboy boot and hurls it in the opposite direction from where it came from.

"PSA: Don't chuck your boot at Morgan Wallen while he's signing autographs because he's gonna get big mad you're going home without your boot," wrote @kristy_t3.

In March, Wallen was hit by a cup of beer thrown by a punter at Rod Laver Arena as part of the Australian leg of his world tour. Wallen was not amused – addressing the perpetrators, he said, “One of y'all own up to it, or I'm gonna throw your whole fucking group out.” He then ordered the individual to be escorted from the show.

Wallen’s incident is the latest in a string of incidents of artists getting hit by items thrown onstage while performing. American pop singer Bebe Rexha was rushed off the stage after a phone was hurled at her face, US pop star Ava Max was slapped on stage and Lil Nas X was hit by a sex toy during a show.

Last week, Adele addressed the crowd at her Las Vegas residency and talked about how she really feels about the current disturbing trend. “Have you noticed how people are like, forgetting fucking show etiquette at the moment?” she asked.

In a video captured by the Twitter account Pop Crave, Adele issued the audience with a challenge: “I fucking dare you,” she said, touting a t-shirt gun, shooting a shirt into the crowd after saying, “Dare you to throw something at me and I’ll fucking kill you.”
