While performing at Outlaw Field at the Idaho Botanical Garden on Wednesday, Kelsea Ballerini was struck in the face by what appears to be a bracelet thrown by someone in the audience.
In a video shared by her official fan account, after being hit Ballerini pauses in the middle of performing her song, If You Go Down (I'm Goin' Down Too), before walking off stage.
"Guys. I know we all mean well. We all want to show Kelsea love the best way we know how, and shower her with all the gifts," the fan account wrote. "But throwing things on stage where artists are already so vulnerable is NOT the move."
“If you can’t hand it to her, there are so many other options. Lord, give it to us! We will make sure it gets to her," the caption continued. "But PLEASE don’t put her in danger like this. Again, I know you all mean well, but this is becoming a safety issue. We love you guys. We do. But please make it stop."

Ballerini later returned to the stage to finish her set following a short break.
"Don't throw things. You know?" she said, addressing the crowd. "I just want shows of mine – every show, for every artist – but I'm in control of this one, and I just want it to be a safe space for everyone. We have little kids here. Can you help me do that tonight, please?"
The following day, Ballerini took to social media to update fans. “I’m fine,” the Subject To Change artist captioned, “let’s just do a better job of keeping each other safe at shows. ily.”
Ballerini wraps up her Heartfirst tour on July 1 in Phoenix, Arizona.
In March this year, Morgan Wallen was hit by a cup of beer thrown by a punter at Rod Laver Arena as part of the Australian leg of his One Night At A Time world tour. Wallen was not amused – addressing the perpetrators, he said, “One of y'all own up to it, or I'm gonna throw your whole fucking group out.” He then ordered the individual to be escorted from the show.
