Miranda Lambert has announced plans for a new collaborative album called The Marfa Tapes with fellow Texan singer-songwriters Jack Ingram and Jon Randall, both of whom are past collaborators.
Lambert shared the news on social media, with the album set for release on May 7.
“They’re raw. You can hear the wind blowing, the cows mooing... We wanted you to feel like you were right there with us, sitting around the campfire, escaping the world, disappearing into the music,” she wrote on her Instagram.

The first song from the project titled In His Arms is out now. The trio previously collaborated on the 2016 award-winning song Tin Man and Tequila Does, the twelfth track off Lambert's 2019 record, Wildcard. They’ve written 13 songs since, Lambert teased in a series of photos leading up to the official announcement.
She wrote, “Every time I need an escape, I go to Marfa, TX. @JackIngram, and @jonrandallmusic come. We recharge. We get inspired by its beauty. We write songs. Tin Man was the 1st one we shared with you. Tequila Does was the 2nd. In between, we’ve written 13 more. And it’s about time to start sharing them with y’all…”

Lambert also revealed her plans to open a honky tonk bar in Nashville’s Lower Broadway tourist district. Located at 308 Broadway, Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa is opening in partnership with TC Restaurant Group, whose portfolio also includes country-star bars for Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Florida Georgia Line.
Lambert’s last studio album was her Grammy and CMA nominated Wildcard, released in late 2019, which included her number one single, Bluebird. She was recently nominated for five ACM Awards, including 'Female Artist of the Year', and featured on Barry Gibb's duets album, Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers Songbook Vol. 1. Only last week, she also released her collaboration single Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home) with Exes and Ohs pop-star, Elle King.
