On the first day of the Tamworth Country Music Festival no less!
Max Jackson has officially announced the release of her new E.P. Out Here, which will be available to stream and download on Friday, January 13, the very first day of the Tamworth Country Music Festival. A special EP launch will follow on Wednesday, January 18, at Moonshiners Honky Tonk Bar, Tamworth, for Max’s very first and only full-ticketed Tamworth show.
The four-song E.P features the already released hits Runnin' and Stratosphere, plus new songs Someone In A Small Town which discusses the beauty of community in a small town, and You Deserve Better, an honest love letter to a friend. Produced by multi-Golden-Guitar-winning producer Rod McCormack at The Music Cellars studios on the NSW Central Coast, the E.P has been dubbed as Jacksons' most heartfelt songs yet.
2022 has been a huge year for Jackson, all attributed to her win of the 2022 Toyota Star Maker - Australia’s most prestigious country music competition. As part of her Star Maker prize, Max jetted off to Nashville, which included four huge days at CMA Fest, thanks to Chris Watson Travel and the CMA. Max played on the Spotlight Stage, and the International Songwriters’ Round on the CMA Close Up Stage with 2013 Star Maker winner Kaylee Bell and played at the famous Bluebird Café, thanks to Phil Barton, who also arranged a co-write for Max with both he and 2001 Star Maker winner Kylie Sackley.
On her E.P. Launch at Tamworth Country Music Festival, Max said, "I’ve been coming to Tamworth since I was a little girl and have been a part of many shows in the past but this one will be different! It’s gonna be a huge celebration of such an exciting year. Of course I’m still the same person I was before winning Toyota Star Maker at TCMF 2022 BUT coming back to Tamworth in 2023, this time, I’m bringing the live show experience I’ve gained at all of the festivals I’ve been playing, I’m bringing my full band, I’m bringing the brand new EP to launch, and I’m bringing a level of confidence in my show and the music I have to share that I’ve not felt before."
