Canadian singer-songwriter MacKenzie Porter has welcomed a baby girl.
Taking to Instagram just hours ago, Porter shared photos of herself, her husband – musician and actor Jake Etheridge, and their daughter, exclusively shot by People Magazine. And the name? The couple named their baby girl Bowen James Porter Etheridge, or Bowie for short.
In the caption, Porter wrote, “Last Thursday at 7:21am our little ‘Bowen James Porter Etheridge’ (Bowie 🎀) made her grand entrance into the world. She is healthy! She loves milk! She loves cuddles! She loves to sleep all day and party all night! She has a full head of black hair (the heartburn was very worth it) and we will never ever love anything more than our little Bo girl 🩷🎀🩷 People thanks for sharing our best creation ever”.
Check out the beautiful photos below.
Porter revealed that she was five months pregnant in November.
In other MacKenzie Porter news, the singer will release her highly anticipated debut full-length album, Nobody’s Born With A Broken Heart, via Big Loud Records on Friday, 26 April.

It’s been a long time waiting for a full-length from Porter (she shared a 10-track self-titled release in 2014), but fans can hear the 19-track album very soon.
When Porter announced Nobody’s Born With A Broken Heart, she also released the first four songs: Easy To Miss, Young At Heart, Pay Me Back In Change, Bet You Break My Heart, and the album closer, the title track. Porter co-wrote nine of the songs on the album, with Lainey Wilson listed as a co-writer on Chasing Tornadoes (per Broadway World).
