MacKenzie Porter is pregnant! The Canadian singer-songwriter and actor shared the news on social media overnight (2 November) by sharing gorgeous photos of herself alongside her husband, actor and musician Jake Etheridge, and the couple’s dog, Willa.
“Our sweet baby. We couldn’t be more excited to meet you, hold you, kiss your lil squishy cheeks and let Willa lick your lil toes,” Porter wrote on Instagram. “To say we are a tad nervous would be an understatement but what we know without an ounce of doubt is that we will love you more than anything in this entire world.
“We will never go back to who we were before. WE are now THREE (well 4 including the fur bean) forever. Love Mom and Dad”.

In an Instagram Story, Porter followed up her pregnancy announcement by writing, “I can’t wait to share the whole story with you all. These last five months have been a ride. Thank you for the love already on this new chapter. Jake and I love you guys.”
In another Story, she shared a screenshot of texts between herself and Etheridge, who asked if the baby was kicking a lot, to which Porter replied, “I’m happy” and “Kicking like crazy right now! Says ‘about time you told the world about me’” with a heart-eyes emoji.

Congratulations to MacKenzie Porter and the family! We hope that her pregnancy is smooth and wish her well on the next journey of her life.
Porter is releasing new music soon, but until then, she features on the duet version of Elijah Woods’ song, Last Girl.
Last October, Porter toured Australia as the opener for Brad Paisley and Morgan Evans. She also performed at CMC Rocks and Savannah In The Round festival.
“I feel really confident. We’ve been playing the same hour set for a while now, so I feel really strong and good about the show. But I have no idea If people will know my music there at all… hopefully, some people maybe know the songs,” she said in a Countrytown interview.
Porter added, “I’ve heard it's a wild time, and that country fans and music lovers over there are just so fun and energetic. That's such an important thing when you're putting on a show; you feed off the crowd. I've heard from so many people, ‘Wait to get there, the fans are amazing,’ so I'm pumped for that!”
