Alaina left Universal Music Group Nashville after nearly 11 years in April.
Singer-songwriter, Lauren Alaina has signed with Big Loud Records.
“I got a label that matches my personality: big, loud, and country. So, I think that that’s what my music will be: big, loud, and country,” Alaina told Billboard. “We had a creative conversation about songs that I love that other people have recorded and songs that I loved of mine and kind of what we want the sound to be."
The news comes after Alaina announced her departure from her long-time record label, Universal Music Group Nashville, after nearly 11 years. During her time with the label, Alaina released two Eps (Getting Good (2020) and Getting Over Him (2020)), as well as three full length albums, Wildflower (2011), Road Less Traveled (2017), and Sitting Pretty On Top of the World (2021).
Alaina wrote on Instagram, “Signed a very BIG and LOUD record deal. Thank you, @bigloud for being willing and LABEL to make music with me. Let’s goooooo!!!!”

Alaina joins Big Loud Record’s famous roster of hitmakers, including ERNEST, HARDY, Jake Owen, Morgan Wallen, MacKenzie Porter, Lily Rose and more.
Big Loud CEO/Partner Seth England said, “We feel like Lauren is absolutely one of the best vocalists, male or female, in this town. Certainly, she’s had success, but we humbly think she has barely scratched the surface of what we think we can do together. Lauren deserves to be, in my opinion, on the same pedestal as Carrie Underwood, and it’s our job to help her find that mode.”
Alaina adds, “I got to chat with HARDY and to chat with Morgan [Wallen] and they all were really excited for me to be over there and super encouraging. Morgan said something really sweet: He said, ‘You have a really big place in this format, and I think they’re gonna help you claim it.’”
He also revealed fans can expect new Alaina music later this year, produced by Joey Moi.
“We’re just getting to know each other and figuring out what we want to do,” Alaina says. But she adds, “I really want to tap into my country roots. I don’t think people remember like how Southern I am. If you go back and watch me on American Idol, I’m like a country girl through and through.”
Recently, Alaina shared a duet with her new labelmate, Chris Lane, reimagining King Harvest’s 1973 hit Dancin’ In The Moonlight. Earlier collaborations include Chris Young, Dustin Lynch, Jon Pardi, Chase Rice, Brad Paisley, BRELAND, Kane Brown, Devin Dawson and more.
As well as her music, Alaina starred in two TV movies Roadhouse Romance (2021) and Road Less Traveled (2017) and has appeared on a variety of TV shows, including American Idol, Dancing With The Stars and the new reality series Beyond The Edge.
In 2021, Alaina released her inspirational book, Getting Good At Being You: Learning to Love Who God Made You to Be. That same year she invited by Trisha Yearwood to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. She was inducted on February 12, 2022.
